While these things seem cool, the one I used for a while was a massive battery drain on my camera and required the computer to be on in order to have things transfer (normally wouldn’t be a big deal, but with a laptop its a pain). I ended up taking it back and just using an SD to USB adapter.

I can confirm that the rice trick works. My wife’s iPhone fell into the toilet (which had clean water in it at the time). We powered it off and stuck it in a bag of rice for two weeks. Upon removing it from the bag of rice and powering it back up, it worked perfectly. No water under the screen (which had been the case) or anywhere else. Seeing how this is coming from a russian anti-virus site, I don’t know how accurate it is, but it does highlight the need to make sure that your mac, or whatever computer you use, is up to date.
To update your mac, click on the apple logo in the top left hand corner of the screen and then select Software Update.
To update your windows PC, click on Start, then Programs, and then Windows...
